Camp Sol.. where to begin? It was beautiful, perfect and emotional. Of course this epic wedding weekend was hard work too, but seeing my dear friend Hanke and her Mario getting married was amazing!! True love. And true love deserves true magic. So that is what we gave them!
This is a long post with heaps of photos and best viewed on laptop or computer. It may take some time for the images to load, but it's worth the wait! Grab yourself a cup of tea, turn on the Camp Sol playlist and enjoy!
My journey to Camp Sol started with the engagement of Hanke&Mario. I met Hanke 4 years ago and we did not only work together a lot, we also became good friends. So obviously I did a happy dance in the room when I recieved an email from them, officially booking me for their Camp Sol wedding weekend! They had a good idea of the vibe they were after, but for the style they only had these keywords: jewel tones and autumn colors. Enough for me! I LOVE creating concepts from scratch! Especially with those colors :) And with Ingrid's (teken-ing) custom made stationery as the perfect source of inspiration, this design was done in a heartbeat!
A weekend filled with friends, food, drinks, flowers and games: Camp Sol was all that and so much more..
Visual proof of the presence of team Inspire Styling: our firevan Tatu! Also: 4 hardworking people in full party clothes & aprons. At one moment enjoying pizza with the guests and the next lifting heavy boxes, chairs and tables. And in my case, fixing the finishing touches of a floral backdrop and a few minutes later fixing my hair and lipstick (and dumping the apron!) to join the ceremony. Multitasking, haha!
The ceremony was so special and emotional, not just because of the outdoor-indoor-outdoor switch! Superstar Lieke (stories by mabel) nailed it as usual. And so did the best friends&family of the beautiful couple. They have collected an amazing group of people around them! Personality was key this weekend. Every detail was about Hanke&Mario's story.
A few of those details: Hanke&Mario handed out letters, mix cd's and enamel mugs (illustrated by Ingrid). I worked on some secret projects with Ingrid myself. Like the Camp Sol flag above. So much fun to reveal it Friday morning and officially open Camp Sol! I also made 60 tiny flags/placecards for the dinner tables. Personal touches are the best! I've heard a lot of those flags are now shining in the homes of a lot of guests, so special!
I have been trying, but this weekend is hard to capture in words. It was a dream! The concept design, the fun secret projects, creating that amazing floral backdrop, spending time with dear friends, waking up before dawn to see the sun rise between the tents, dancing the night away, that mouthwatering food, my kick-ass dreamteam (couldn't have done it without you guys!), all the emotions and most of all: seeing the beautiful and radiant bride&groom enjoy their magical weekend.
It almost feels unnecessary to mention it, but if you want me to style your wedding.. get in touch!! :) (or read all about it here first and then get in touch!)
