february tabletop

While the first signs of Spring are peeping around the corner, I'm not entirely done with Winter. So as a final goodbye, I created this February inspired tabletop. February isn't a very popular month, but there's beauty in it. My inspiration for this shoot is the calm after the storm. Branches on the ground, the wet and silent streets, cold & crisp days.. Also: my sisters birthday is in February. Her name (Els) is the same as the Dutch name for Alder tree. Hence the alder seeds ;) I only used fallen branches that I foraged close to our house. Sometimes it's just too easy!

This is an ode to my sister, an ode to Winter and an ode to the changing of seasons.
