1-on-1 masterclass // July 2023

“I decided to treat myself to a 1:1 class with Anne and I haven’t had a single regret! I’ve been following her for over a year and loved her work. Even if I’m not a florist by profession, the idea of a class stuck with me. The process beforehand was really nice, Anne is sweet and can sense what you want/are into. And her beautiful proposal made me very happy!

The day itself was great. I was welcomed in Anne’s inspiring workspace that overlooked the garden. There was apple pie, tea and a whole ‘flower shop’ just for me. Featuring all my favorite colors! After Anne’s demo I started making my own bouquet. I learned a lot in a short time, about different flower shapes and types, colors, heights and the spiral technique. Anne was very patient, relaxed and coached me while I was making my garden inspired bouquet. And there was room for all my questions.

We spend the second part of the day making an installation. Anne’s sketch alone made me very excited, she really had thought it through. While creating, she taught me techniques I can also use on a smaller scale. It was wonderful to work on the installation and seeing it become more beautiful with each addition. Anne’s eye for detail made sure the final result was amazing. We ended our day with a portrait shoot with lovely photographer Nadia. She did such a good job, the photos capture how it felt perfectly. The class felt like a gift to myself and the photos felt like another gift on top of that! They want to make me book another class with you haha!

I went home with a very nice goodiebag, my bouquet, a bucket with leftover flowers and a ton of inspiration. Anne, I enjoyed our class tremendously and will savor it all for a long time. Thank you for that! For now, onwards with the online classes!” - Rekha, the Netherlands

“My masterclass with Anne was a really great flower experience!

As a profession I’m an interior designer & stylist. I wanted to learn more about working with flowers, to combine both creative fields. When I saw an opening for a 1:1 masterclass I didn’t hesitate as I really like Anne’s work & style. I was so happy to receive a mail back and from that moment on everything just came in easily.

When I got to Anne’s place I was very impressed with the beauty of the flowers in the pots, the warmth of her studio and the nice welcome.

I learned how to create a bouquet before, but in a very traditional way. When I made my bouquet, with Anne’s guidance, I felt free to follow my own style. And I was super impressed with the technique. I could even put my bouquet down, relax the hands, drink a coffee ;-) just breathe.. and then pick it back up and go back to where I left of. Amazing, I will never forget this!

After lunch we started the arrangement in a bowl, with chicken wire in stead of foam. I loved to see Anne work on her demo and enjoyed creating my own, in my own style & colours. I was so satisfied after day one!

The next day we spent building an installation for a photo set, looking as if the flowers would grow out of the floor. Foam free again! It was very inspiring to work with both Anne and photographer Danique. We had some very good teamwork and danced around each other like snowflakes.

“I truly enjoyed our 1:1 masterclass from the beginning to the end.

I appreciated how you thoroughly prepared everything so that the day was a success; from the personalized day program after our initial exchange, to the welcoming relaxed atmosphere including a goodie bag, the great abundance and variety of flowers...Every detail was taken care of and that was a perfect starting point.

During the mentoring session, I gained your valuable insight into the possible career paths, the floral sector and its functioning, a good portfolio and branding, and other ideas that popped into my head. You were very knowledgeable and willing to answer my questions as they came up.

The entire process of building up the installation was fun and even felt easy to me, despite not having touched a flower ever before in my life. I was doubtful about my capacity to build such a beautiful and magical installation and thanks to your guidance, good advice and encouragement, we made it. “What an experience! I participated in a 1:1 masterclass with Anne and I have zero regrets! I am a florist (converted by passion a few years ago), working at a shop, dreaming of my own business. “A 1:1 masterclass with Anne was a gift to myself, a thing on my bucketlist! I enjoyed it so much, from the anticipation beforehand to the joy and excitement I feel looking back at it!

Anne’s classes really spoke to me because I love flowers and want to pursue a creative career after selling my business last year. During the initial meeting she actively helps you figuring out which sessions will fit you best. She will send a personalised and inspiring proposal, including a custome schedule to fit your needs&wishes. In my case: a ‘Dutch masters’ and a wedding bouquet session! Her excitement is contagious and just after the first (zoom) meeting alone you can feel the inspiration bubbling up. I couldn’t wait for the day of the masterclass to come!

On the big day Anne welcomed me in her inspiring atelier, full of flowers (in my favorite colors!), lovely scents, vases and a nice view on the garden. I love photography and was happy to have a lot of photo opportunities during the day. We finished the day by capturing the Dutch masters still life I created myself. “A marvelous and useful experience! The decision to take the 1:1 course with Anne was one of the best I ever made. It was an important investment, also because I travelled from Italy to The Netherlands, but the results are definitely worth it.

Anne is a natural-born teacher. She really has a gift to accompany her students on their path without imposing rules. The class was divided in two sessions:
• practical - in which I learnt the technique of the spiral bouquet (hard in the beginning, but it became natural afterwards) and how to photograph my work. Anne has prepared soooo many flowers for me. Never seen as many and as beautiful all together.
• mentoring session - about self-confidence, imposter syndrome and social media promotion.

I left her studio feeling happy and confident in the future. After I came home, I got my first paid job to design the flowers for a small event. If it was not for Anne maybe I would have never accepted it because I was not feeling good enough.

“I was looking forward to a 1:1 class with Anne for a long time and am so happy I took the step of booking it! I have been an online student of hers for a year now and after learning an incredible amount already, this in person class was the obvious choice.

During the initial interview Anne takes time to get to know you and your needs. Afterwards she sends a custom schedule for the day, designed to help you learn the techniques you want to master. This is why I was confident the class was a great idea, even before the day itself.

After admiring Anne’s beautiful studio and garden, we dived into wedding bouquets and the spiral technique.
