winter flower cloud
An ode to Winter: this flower cloud made with branches, lunaria seedpods and fluffy clematis. All foraged and dried, so 100% seasonal and everlasting! And a bit whimsical, because it reminded me of Snow White. I’m visualizing a person in a flowy dress, dark hair and red lips in this scene :)
I used roots from a plant as a ikebana like accent on the tables, to honor the growth that is happening in the earth. Winter may look bare, but there is so much life if you pay attention!
I started this installation series last Spring, with a purple lilac&wisteria cloud, in Summer I made a Queen Annes lace fireworks cloud and in Autumn I created a small indoor forest. All materials were foraged, cut from our garden or leftover from a workshop. And this Winter cloud finishes the year round installs. At the same time it opens the new year of clouds, because I love making them and want to continue this new tradition in 2020.
I can see this cloud above a table for an event, in a shop window and many other places! Do you need some flower magic for your business/shop/event? Contact me and we’ll meet up soon!
